Ingredients:
° 1 lb lean ground beef
° 1 yellow onion finely diced
° 1 chopped green pepper
° ½ teaspoon of salt
° 1 tablespoon cornstarch
° 1 cup of beef broth
° ¼ cup A-1 steak sauce
° 1 teaspoon steak seasoning
° sliced provolone cheese
° hamburger buns, sliders, etc.
Instructions:
In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook and crumble the ground beef, onion, green pepper and salt until the beef is no longer pink. Drain.
Stir cornstarch into ground beef and stir until meat is coated in cornstarch. Add beef broth, A-1 sauce and steak seasoning. Mix and bring to a boil.
Once boiling, reduce heat to medium-low and simmer, stirring occasionally, for 10 minutes. The mixture should thicken and will thicken again off the heat.
While the meat simmers, turn the oven to broil and place the buns on a cookie sheet. Butter each loaf. Grill for a few minutes only. Watch carefully as they can easily burn.
When the meat is cooked, use a slotted spoon to place it on each bottom bun. Place a slice of provolone cheese on the top bun. Grill for a few more minutes until the cheese is melted.
Place top bun with cheese on bottom bun with philly cheesesteak meat.
Enjoy !
