
Ingredients:
– 1 can crescent roll dough (8-count)
– 1/3 cup chopped pecans
– 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
– 2 tablespoons corn syrup (light or dark)
– 1 tablespoon melted butter
– 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
– 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
– Pinch of salt
– Egg wash (1 egg + 1 tbsp water)
– Optional toppings: Caramel drizzle, melted chocolate for dipping, flaky sea salt
Directions:
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. In a mixing bowl, combine chopped pecans, brown sugar, corn syrup, melted butter, vanilla extract, cinnamon (if using), and a pinch of salt. Mix until well combined.
3. Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles.
4. Place a spoonful of the pecan mixture at the wide end of each triangle.
5. Roll the dough from the wide end to the pointed tip, enclosing the filling completely.
6. Pinch the edges to seal and place the crescents on the prepared baking sheet.
7. Brush the tops with the egg wash for a golden finish.
8. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the crescents are golden brown.
9. Once baked, remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly before serving. Drizzle with caramel and melted chocolate, and sprinkle with flaky sea salt if desired.
