Also known as Snowball Cookies, these are a holiday favorite: buttery, nutty bites coated in powdered sugar. They come together quickly and require just a few ingredients.
Ingredients
1 cup softened butter
2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
½ cup powdered sugar + extra for rolling
¼ tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla extract
½ cup chopped nuts (e.g., peanuts, pecans, walnuts)
Instructions
Heat oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Cream butter, ½ cup powdered sugar, and vanilla. Stir in flour, salt, and nuts until combined. (Chilling dough for 30 minutes is optional).
Form dough into 1-inch balls and place on sheet. They will not spread.
Bake 10-12 minutes until set. While still warm, roll in powdered sugar. Cool completely.
