Homemade Mustard

Admin

Ingredients:

¾ cup white sugar
¾ cup ground dry mustard
½ cup distilled white vinegar
½ cup white wine
3 eggs, beaten
Equipment:
Double boiler (or a small saucepan and a heatproof bowl)
Whisk
Sealed container

Directions:

In the top of a double boiler, whisk together sugar, mustard, vinegar, wine and eggs. You may also place the mixture in a heatproof bowl over a small saucepan if you don’t have a double boiler.
Cook over simmering water, whisking constantly, for 8 minutes, or until thick.
How to Store Homemade Mustard
Once you’ve made your mustard, allow it to cool to room temperature and transfer to an airtight container (like this Sure Seal Glass Mason Jar). Store it in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
