Garlic Shrimp Gratin

Ingredients:

– 1 lb medium-sized shrimp, peeled and deveined
– 4 cloves garlic, minced
– 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
– 1 cup heavy cream
– 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
– ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
– ½ cup panko breadcrumbs
– Salt and pepper, to taste
– Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

This recipe serves about 4 people, making it perfect for a small gathering or a romantic dinner!

How to Make it

1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter and add the minced garlic. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
3. Add the shrimp to the skillet, seasoning with salt and pepper. Cook until the shrimp turn pink and are cooked through, about 3-4 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.
4. In a bowl, combine the heavy cream, mozzarella, half of the Parmesan cheese, and the cooked shrimp. Mix until well combined.
5. Transfer the mixture into a greased baking dish (a 9×9 inch glass dish works great).
6. In another bowl, combine the panko breadcrumbs with the remaining Parmesan cheese. Top the shrimp mixture with this breadcrumb blend, ensuring an even distribution.
7. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until bubbly and golden brown on top.
8. Remove from the oven and let it sit for a few minutes before garnishing with freshly chopped parsley.
