Ingredients
3/4 c all-purpose flour, sifted
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 c milk
2 Tbsp vegetable oil
1 egg, unbeaten
3 sm onions, peeled
vegetable oil, for deep frying
Directions
1. First in a medium bowl sift the flour with the salt. Then add in the next 3 ingredients and beat until smooth.
2. Then in a heavy large frying pan heat the oil to about 355 F.
3. Then cut the onions into 1/4 inch thick slices and separate them into rings. Next, dip each into the batter.
4. Drop a few at a time into the heated oil.
5. Then fry for about 2 to 3 mins and turn over occasionally. Then drain on a paper towel and sprinkle with the salt. Best served warm.
