Cookies & Cream Cheesecake Deep-Fried Oreos Recipe

Ingredients:

For the Cheesecake Filling:

8 oz cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup crushed Oreos
For the Coating and Frying:

1 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 large egg
1 cup milk
Vegetable oil, for frying
12 Oreo cookies
For the Garnish:

Powdered sugar, for dusting
Additional crushed Oreos, for sprinkling

Directions:

 

Prepare the Cheesecake Filling:

In a medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth.
Add granulated sugar and vanilla extract, and mix until well combined.
Gently fold in the crushed Oreos.
Assemble the Oreos:

Using a spoon or a small ice cream scoop, place a small dollop of the cheesecake filling on top of each Oreo cookie. Gently press another Oreo on top to create a sandwich. Repeat with the remaining Oreos.
Prepare the Coating:

In a shallow bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
In another bowl, whisk together the egg and milk until well combined.
Dip each Oreo sandwich into the flour mixture, then into the egg mixture, and back into the flour mixture to coat thoroughly.
Fry the Oreos:

In a large pot or deep fryer, heat vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C). There should be enough oil to fully submerge the Oreos.
Carefully place the coated Oreos into the hot oil, a few at a time, without overcrowding the pot. Fry for about 2-3 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
Using a slotted spoon, transfer the fried Oreos to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
Garnish and Serve:

Dust the warm deep-fried Oreos with powdered sugar and sprinkle with additional crushed Oreos if desired.
Serve immediately while still warm.
