Chocolate chip cookies are a type of cookie that are made from flour, butter, sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, and chocolate chips. They are a popular dessert that is enjoyed by many people around the world. The chocolate chip cookie was invented in 1938 by Ruth Graves Wakefield, who owned the Toll House Inn in Massachusetts. One of her guests suggested that she add broken pieces of chocolate bar to her cookies, and the chocolate chip cookie was born. Since then, the chocolate chip cookie has become a beloved and iconic treat. There are many variations of the chocolate chip cookie, including adding nuts, oats, or other ingredients to the dough. Chocolate chip cookies can be baked in a variety of shapes and sizes, and they can be enjoyed on their own or as part of a dessert, such as ice cream sandwiches or cookie cakes.
