Ingredients

Meat and Protein
1 lb ground beef
1/4 cup chopped pepperoni + additional for topping
Vegetables
1 diced onion
Seasoning
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp Italian seasoning
1 tsp onion powder
1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
1 TBSP minced garlic
Sauce
1 cup marinara sauce
Batter
1/2 cup Bisquick
2 eggs
3/4 cup milk
Cheese
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

Directions

Brown the ground beef with the diced onion in a skillet over medium heat. Add the salt, pepper, paprika, Italian seasoning, onion powder, and crushed red pepper flakes. Cook until the beef is fully browned.

Once the beef is browned, add the chopped pepperoni and cook for a few minutes. Drain excess grease from the skillet. Add the marinara sauce and minced garlic, stir well, and remove the skillet from heat.

In a bowl, whisk together the Bisquick, milk, and eggs until smooth.

Spray a pie pan with cooking spray. Layer half of the ground beef mixture in the pie pan, followed by 1 cup of shredded mozzarella. Add the remaining beef mixture and top with another cup of mozzarella. Pour the Bisquick batter evenly over the top and garnish with additional pepperoni.

Bake in a preheated oven at 400°F (200°C) for 25 minutes or until golden brown and set.
