Tasty hamburger “steaks” smothered in gravy and onions. Serve with hot rice or potatoes for an easy-to-make dinner classic. It’s a great way to dress up a pound of ground beef and you probably have all the ingredients on hand!
Ingredients
1lb.Lean Beef, Ground
1large Egg
½ cup Bacon, Chopped
¼ cup Breadcrumbs
2 tbsp.Olive Oil
½ Onion, Diced
1 tsp.Garlic Powder
1 cup Flour
Salt And Pepper To Taste
For The Gravy:
1 Onion, Chopped
1 cup Beef Broth
¼ cup Flour
1 cup Water
½ tbsp.Worcestershire Sauce
1 Packet Of Brown Gravy Mix
2 cups Mushrooms, Sliced
Salt And Pepper To Taste
How To Make Hamburger Steak Patties
In a mixing bowl, combine all of the ingredients for the patties except for the olive oil and flour.
Form the mixture into 4 evenly sized beef patties.
Dip the patties into the flour, and cook in the oil in a skillet over medium high heat until browned. Remove the patties from the skillet.
Add the onions to the skillet and saute until softened.
Stir in the flour, and then add the broth, worcestershire sauce and gravy mix slowly.
Season with salt and pepper to taste. Stir in the mushrooms, and return the patties to the skillet.
Simmer covered for 20 minutes.
