Ingredients :
°1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, room temperature, plus 2 tablespoons melted
°1/4 cup filled with light brown sugar
°1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour (spoonful and flat)
°Salt 1/2 teaspoon
°3 large eggs
°3/4 cup corn syrup
°1/2 cup granulated sugar
°1 package of semi-sweet chocolate chips
°2 cups pecans, coarsely divided
Directions :
Preheat oven 350 degrees. Line bottom and sides of 9×13-inch baking pan with foil. In the bowl of an electric mixer, beat 1 butter at room temperature, brown sugar, flour and salt until coarse crumbs form. Pour mixture into prepared pan; Press down firmly.
Bake until brown, 26-31 min. Leave to cool, 11 min.
Meanwhile, in a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, corn syrup, granulated sugar and melted butter until the ingredients are well blended. Add chocolate chips and nuts. It spreads over the shell. Bake until set, 25 to 30 minutes. Cool completely in pan before lifting (use aluminum foil to lift). Cut into 32 strips (8 rows by 4 rows).
