Oreo-Stuffed Cinnamon Rolls

Ingredients
  

  • Dough Ingredients
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour + extra for dusting
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 packet 2¼ tsp instant yeast
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ cup warm milk 110°F / 45°C
  • ¼ cup warm water
  • 1 large egg
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter melted
  • Filling Ingredients
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter softened
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 9-12 Oreo cookies Double Stuf recommended for extra cream!
  • Cream Cheese Glaze
  • 4 oz cream cheese softened
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1-2 tbsp milk adjust for desired consistency
  • Optional Add-Ins
  • Chocolate chips
  • Crushed Oreos for topping

Method
 

  1. Prepare the Dough
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, yeast, and salt.
  3. Add warm milk, water, egg, and melted butter. Mix until a soft dough forms.
  4. Knead for 5-7 minutes (by hand or stand mixer) until smooth and elastic.
  5. Cover and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
  6. Roll & Fill with Oreos
  7. On a floured surface, roll the dough into a 12x9-inch rectangle.
  8. Spread softened butter evenly over the dough.
  9. Sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon.
  10. Place Oreos in a row along one long edge, spacing them about 1 inch apart.
  11. Tightly roll into a log, pinching the seam to seal.
  12. Cut & Second Rise
  13. Slice into 1.5-inch thick rolls (you should get 9-12).
  14. Arrange in a greased baking dish, cover, and let rise for 30 minutes.
  15. Bake
  16. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  17. Bake for 20-25 minutes, until golden brown.
  18. Glaze & Serve
  19. Beat cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Add milk as needed for a drizzle-friendly consistency.
  20. Pour over warm rolls and top with crushed Oreos (if desired).
  21. Enjoy while gooey and fresh!

Notes

Extra Decadence: Add chocolate chips to the filling or swap Oreos for other cookies.
Overnight Option: Refrigerate shaped rolls overnight; bake in the morning.
