Ingredients
Method
- Prepare Meatball Mixture
- In a large bowl, tear the bread into small pieces.
- Add all meatball ingredients (except olive oil) and mix thoroughly with your hands until well combined.
- Form Meatballs
- Scoop 2-3 tbsp of the mixture and roll into balls. Place on a plate or cutting board.
- Brown the Meatballs
- Heat olive oil in a large sauté pan over medium heat.
- Cook meatballs in batches until browned on all sides. Transfer to a clean plate.
- Prepare the Sauce
- In the same pan, add pasta sauce and herbs. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer.
- Finish Cooking
- Return meatballs to the sauce, spooning sauce over them.
- Cover and cook for 5 minutes, then flip and cook another 5 minutes.
- Serve
- Enjoy hot over pasta or risotto.
Notes
For best flavor, refrigerate the meat mixture overnight before cooking.
Only sear the meatballs initially—they’ll finish cooking in the sauce.
Pairs well with pasta, risotto, or crusty bread.
