Chocolate Caramel Peanut Butter Pretzel Bars

Ingredients
  

  • Pretzel Crust:
  • 2 cups mini pretzels crushed
  • ½ cup unsalted butter melted
  • ½ cup creamy peanut butter
  • Peanut Butter Layer:
  • ½ cup creamy peanut butter
  • cups powdered sugar
  • Caramel Layer:
  • 1 cup caramel candies unwrapped
  • 2 tbsp heavy cream
  • Chocolate Topping:
  • cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Method
 

  1. Make the Pretzel Crust:
  2. In a bowl, mix crushed pretzels, melted butter, and ½ cup peanut butter until well combined.
  3. Press the mixture firmly into an 8×8-inch pan lined with parchment paper (or lightly greased). Set aside.
  4. Prepare the Peanut Butter Layer:
  5. In another bowl, blend the remaining ½ cup peanut butter with powdered sugar until crumbly.
  6. Sprinkle evenly over the pretzel crust and press down gently.
  7. Create the Caramel Layer:
  8. In a small saucepan over low heat, melt caramel candies with heavy cream, stirring until smooth.
  9. Pour over the peanut butter layer, spreading evenly. Chill for 15–20 minutes to set.
  10. Add the Chocolate Topping:
  11. Melt chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  12. Spread melted chocolate over the caramel layer.
  13. Chill & Serve:
  14. Refrigerate for 1–2 hours (or until firm).
  15. Lift out using parchment paper, slice into bars, and enjoy!

Notes

Crush Pretzels Easily: Use a zip-top bag and rolling pin.
Customize: Top with sea salt, chopped nuts, or sprinkles before the chocolate sets.
Storage: Keep in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week. For longer storage, freeze for up to 3 months.
